Mechanism

How it works

CHIX does not measure whether presidential statements are positive or negative. It measures how contradictory they are over time. More contradiction, higher price.

Data acquisition
Real-time monitoring of Truth Social (every 2 minutes) and 30+ tier-1 news sources including Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, NYT, WSJ, and Politico. Only direct presidential statements pass the filter.

NLP processing
A proprietary NLP pipeline classifies each statement by policy domain (Trade, Geopolitics, Markets, Immigration, Energy) and scores sentiment. Semantic deduplication prevents double-counting.

Price oracle
The Chaos Engine computes the CI score from the weighted standard deviation of sentiment per topic. The oracle pushes the price on-chain every 10 minutes via an exponential formula.
Price = $1.00 × e^(2 × CI / 100)
At CI=0 the token is worth $1.00. At CI=50 it is $2.72. At CI=100 it reaches $7.39. A 15% per-update rate limiter prevents flash crashes.
